Wells Fargo Bank

Ben Norman, Wells Fargo Bank

Ben grew up in Highland Home, Alabama and went to Highland Home High School, then earned a B.S. in Business Management from Troy University. Ben began his banking career with Compass Bank before accepting a position as Branch Manager at SouthTrust Bank. During the Wachovia/SouthTrust Bank merger, he was named a Financial Sales Leader and managed 12 locations. He developed an underperforming team to become one of the highest performing teams in the Eastern Bank. After the Wells Fargo/Wachovia merger, Ben became a District Manager for Wells Fargo. “This was a great experience,” he said, “and allowed me to continue to grow my leadership skills and aided me in becoming a Business Banking Relationship Manager here in Newnan.” Ben looks forward to the new insights and information he will take away from his Leadership Coweta opportunity. “Not only do I want to learn more about the history of Newnan and Coweta County,” he said, “but I also want to be part of the community and work closely with key community leaders. In addition, I hope to build relationships and add value to the city and county where I live. I think with a deeper understanding of Coweta County, I will be able to become more involved with and provide positive change to the local business, nonprofit, and government communities.” In addition to strengthening his business and personal relationships, Ben believes Leadership Coweta will help him develop as a community leader. “I hope to work with my class to identify opportunities and projects where we can provide community support,” he said. “I also hope to work with community leaders and class members to provide creative solutions and ideas that will make a positive mark on both our community and city.”
