How to Set up Category Weights in Powerteacher Gradebook

<p> How to Set up Category Weights in PowerTeacher Gradebook</p><p>Log in to PowerTeacher and launch your Gradebook. Select a class to work with under Classes on the left. Click on the button at the top for Grade Setup. Select the Reporting Term you want to work in for setting up your Category Weights.</p><p>On the bottom portion of the screen, click on the button for Category Weights. Click on the + button to add the categories you want to weight in your gradebook</p><p>Check the boxes you want to add and click OK.</p><p>1 The categories will be added to the bottom portion of your Grade Setup screen. To enter the weights for your categories, click in the Weight column next to a category you would like to weight and enter values for each category. Note: you may have to click on each weight column to refresh your entries when you complete the process.</p><p>Notice you have the option to drop the lowest score for each category by clicking on the category and entering the number in the box of how many low scores to drop.</p><p>Click Save.</p><p>If you would like to copy the category weights setup for other classes, right click on the reporting term such as N1 and select to Copy Grade Setup – Entire Class</p><p>Check the boxes beside the classes you would like to copy the Grade Setup and Click Next. Continue to follow the prompts until the process is completed.</p><p>2</p>
