Dear x,

I am writing for your approval to attend the 14th Annual Cold Chain GDP & Temperature Management Logistics Summit - Canada, which is the largest industry event in Canada, and is this Feb. 29 – March 3 in Toronto.

The reason I’d like to go is because it’s the largest gathering of supply chain professionals who are facing the same challenges to daily operations and processes as us. The program’s sessions will address these pressures and provide practical ways to balance compliance, risks and costs.

I have reviewed the agenda, the list of speakers and potential attendees, and think it’d be worth it for me to attend. The following speakers and sessions will touch on points that I feel have particular relevance to us:

. Health Canada’s Strategy for the Pharma Supply Chain With Anthony Lostracco, Compliance Specialist, Health Canada

. A Pharmacist’s Perspective on Vaccine Cold Chain & Logistics With Dr. Tarek Kilani, Head of Pharmacy & Continuing Medical Education Coordinator, Emirates French Hospital

. Stability Budget and the GDP – Creating and Using a “Stability Budget” for Your Handling, Storage and Shipping Processes With Rafik H. Bishara, Ph.D., Technical Advisor, former Director, Quality Knowledge Management and Technical Support, Eli Lilly and Company

. Case Study Follow Up, One Year In – Effectively Benefitting from Ocean Freight With Natasha Harper, APFF, CCS, CTCS, Transport and Customs Specialist, Sandoz Canada

. Partnership at Work – Case Studies in Collaboration With Jim Bacon, Sr. Director, Demand Planning & International Customer Operations - US Office, Grifols, Inc.

I will also receive conference materials upon my return so that we can go over it together and with the team. Thank you for considering this request and I look forward to discussing this further!

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
