Students will design and fabricate various metallic parts using an English Wheel, 3-Axis Bead Roller, and the Shrinker/Stretcher machines. MET 1321 (Machining and Welding), MET 2332 (Metrology and CNC), and EDG 1212 (Engineering Graphics II) are all required prerequisites for this course.

Procedures and Requirements The course consists of lectures and laboratory sessions, with new subject areas covered through reading assignments, lectures, videos and demonstrations. Students are required to attend the class during the assigned times. If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to get the assignments for that day and to have your homework turned in on time.

ADA/504 Compliance Students with disabilities who believe that they may need accommodations in this class are encouraged to contact the ATTIC counselor working with disabilities at (678) 915-7361 as soon as possible to better ensure that such accommodations are implemented in a timely fashion.

Grading Policy Field Trips 25% 90-100 A Drawings 25% 80-89 B Labs & Projects 50% 70-79 C TOTAL 100% 60-69 D Below 60 F Drawings All assignments are to be turned in at the beginning of the class period on the announced due date. No late work will be accepted without a valid and approved excuse! Drawings are graded on technical accuracy, layout, and professional appearance. One drawing grade will be dropped before the final grade is computed. Labs & Projects Labs & Projects will be assigned throughout the semester. They may be both individual and group in nature.

Manufacturing Field Trips Several field trips to manufacturing facilities that hire MET graduates will be scheduled throughout the semester. Visits will be scheduled during normal class hours but some will require additional travel time.

1 2018年4月5日

TENATIVE SCHEDULE: Nor-Ral Composite Solutions & Precision Machining 164 Hickory Springs Industrial Drive Canton, GA 30115 (770) 720-0526 http://www.norral.com Hosts: MET Graduates Patrick Curtis & Jitten Patel

Kubota Manufacturing of America 2715 Ramsey Road Gainesville, GA 30501 (770) 532-0038 http://www.kubota-kma.com Hosts: MET Graduates Jamaar Zackery & Chris McAdams

Marietta Nondestructive Testing 530 Commerce Park Drive Marietta, GA 30060 (770) 528-9000 http://www.marietta-ndt.com Host: MET Graduate & President Daryle Higginbotham

Sheet Metal Components Inc. 84 Zena Drive Cartersville, GA 30120 (770) 383-1380 http://www.sheetmetalcomponents.calls.net/index.html Host: President & CFO Kerry Allen

Student Conduct Academic dishonesty and non-academic misconduct, in any form, is not tolerated in the classroom.
