What, if any, increase in the penalty has occurred and if so, what was it

If this refers to an increase in penalty notice amounts – the Office of State Revenue does not have responsibility nor control over, increases in penalty amounts. This question should be redirected to the appropriate issuing authority.

If this refers to an increase in the debt amount – information regarding additional penalties for the non-payment of fines is available at www.osr.nsw.gov.au

1 All figures relate to Overdue Fines only ie those that have become enforced. 2 Case count is the closest we can get to the number of debtors however we cannot categorically rule out that one debtor may have other cases as we may not have had enough data to merge them. 3 Data has been provided by fine ‘source’ rather than fine ‘type’ (i.e. driving, parking etc). The reason for this is that an Overdue Fine may contain fines from multiple sources, and customers make payments against the Overdue Fine not the specific fine. 4 Sources of “other” fines includes State Electoral Office fines, Sheriff Office Jury Branch fines and Bail Forfeiture Orders. 5 Data includes any actions taken on the case, not on specific Overdue Fines. Actions attempted may not relate to all matters during the period. 6.
