<p> Lesson Plan </p><p>Title of Lesson: Prezi “About Me” Date: 2/18/2011 Timeframe of Lesson: 4 days Author(s): Ryan Bouzek School District: Lake Geneva Campus: Badger High School Subject Area(s): Graphic Communications 1 Grade Level(s)/Course: 9-12 Subject Specific: State Standards  B.12.8 Select and apply appropriate processes to transform information into http://www.dpi.state.wi.us/dp its most useful format i/standards/  C.12.6 Design and/or create solutions that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, demonstrate quality, have value greater than the investment, and meet a societal want or need</p><p>Technology Specific:  B.12.6 Interpret and use information to solve the problem or answer the question</p><p>Stated Objective(s) -Students will learn basic functions of a Mac computer (ex. icon location, saving pictures, navigation…).</p><p>-Students will learn the program Prezi to create a presentation to introduce themselves to the class.</p><p>Procedures for Lesson Day 1: Introduction (45 minutes) -Handout the Prezi rubric and grade sheet and explain the project. (5 minutes) -Show my Prezi as a demonstration to class. (5 minutes) -Have students log on to the Mac network to see if usernames and passwords work, and have them sign up for Prezi account (Ask for questions and make sure everyone gets signed up). (5 minutes) -Project my computer on the wall and demonstrate functions of Mac and Prezi (Have students follow along—watch then do!). (15 minutes) -Work time for students (Keep projector on to answer questions as they come). (15 minutes).</p><p>Day 2: Work Day (90 minutes) -Review and Refresh objectives from day 1— (topics maybe from struggles students may have had on first day). (10 minutes) -Project my computer on wall again to demonstrate struggles from class. (Entire period) -Work time for students to complete Prezi—Roam classroom to make sure students are on task and answer questions (Encourage advanced students to go above and beyond— give struggling students extra help). (75 minutes) -Make sure students save projects and review the day. (5 minutes)</p><p>Day 3: Finish and Present (45 minutes) -Wrap up work time for Prezi??? (Depends on flow of class --time =??) -Have students present Prezi to class on projector (Teacher have students bring up grade sheet and grade project as they present).</p><p>Day 4: Presentations (45 minutes) -Have students finish presenting all Prezi’s -Review and remind main objectives of this lesson (ex. ask class questions about the program and mac computers as they will need this information for the remainder of this course!)
