<p>‘Way2Go Project Information’</p><p>First Housing Aid & Support Services supports individuals and families who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. The overall aim of the ‘Way2Go’ Project, which has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund for a period of four years under the Impact of Alcohol programme, is to reduce the harm to individuals, families and communities directly affected by alcohol misuse. </p><p>A Project Co-ordinator will drive the project with a team of seven Specialist Outreach Support Workers across various areas of Northern Ireland: Derry/Londonderry, Omagh. Enniskillen, and Belfast/Armagh </p><p>The Project will consist of:</p><p> A rapid Response Service for Derry/Londonderry through the expansion of our current night support service that provides support on the streets to individuals that are homeless/and or sleeping rough due to alcohol misuse. </p><p> An outreach support service for Omagh to providing advice, support and information to individuals, families and the wider community in relation to alcohol misuse issues.</p><p> An outreach and drop in service in Enniskillen </p><p> Specialist support to individuals and families affected by the misuse of alcohol to help secure and sustain their housing tenancies across Northern Ireland</p><p>We expect the outcomes of the ‘Way2Go’ Project to be as follows:</p><p> Outcome 1 - Reduction in the number of individuals who are homeless and/or sleeping rough, or at risk of becoming homeless and/or sleeping rough, because of alcohol related issues</p><p> Outcome 2 - Young people who are homeless and/or sleeping rough or who have a history of homelessness and/or sleeping rough because of alcohol related issues, will be provided with opportunities to access training and information.</p><p> Outcome 3 – Improved knowledge about the impacts of alcohol and the risks associated with excessive alcohol consumption. The expected activities of the ‘Way2Go’ Project are outlined in the table below</p><p>When Activity</p><p>Year one We will provide access to accommodation for 140 people with alcohol related issues who are homeless</p><p>We provide support for 155 individuals with alcohol related problems who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless</p><p>We will provide advice and information to 5,000 individuals with alcohol related problems who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.</p><p>We will recruit, select and train 10 volunteers, and establish diversionary activities, namely swimming, a book club and film evenings.</p><p>We will run 8 evening workshops and 26 structured activities on the effects of alcohol for 235 people. </p><p>We will develop and distribute leaflets and a newsletter on alcohol related harm and the Project to 5,000 beneficiaries.</p><p>Year two We will provide access to accommodation for 215 people with alcohol related issues who are homeless.</p><p>We provide support for 225 individuals with alcohol related problems who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.</p><p>We will provide advice and information to 7,500 individuals with alcohol related problems who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.</p><p>We will run 8 evening workshops and 26 structured activities on the effects of alcohol for 235 people. </p><p>We will recruit, select and train a further10 volunteers, and establish diversionary activities, namely a football team, snooker tournaments, photography and an art project.</p><p>We will develop and distribute leaflets and a newsletter on alcohol related harm and the Project to 7,500 beneficiaries.</p><p>Year three We will provide access to accommodation for 215 people with alcohol related issues who are homeless.</p><p>We provide support for 225 individuals with alcohol related problems who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.</p><p>We will provide advice and information to 7,500 individuals with alcohol related problems who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.</p><p>We will run 8 evening workshops and 26 structured activities on the effects of alcohol for 235 people.
