<p> Wado Kai Student Development Scholarship</p><p>The Wado Kai Student Development Fund offers two (2) annual scholarships of $1000 to the applicants who best demonstrate well-roundedness in: academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and martial arts achievements. All eligible students in Canada are welcome to apply for selection. </p><p>To qualify for selection the following criteria must be met:</p><p>1. The applicant must be a member of the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation. If the applicant is a parent or guardian of the student, the application will be judged on the parent’s or guardian’s accomplishments in the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation and their Sensei’s recommendation as well as the student’s admission grades.</p><p>2. The student must be applying to or currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution such as university, technological institute, teacher’s college, etc.</p><p>3. The student’s academic success (e.g. grades, GPA, etc) must be sufficient to allow admittance into the post-secondary institution or continuance from one year to the next. **Note: Proof of acceptance or continuance within the institute will be required before the scholarship is released.</p><p>4.
