<p>Meeting Minutes November 27, 2012</p><p>Present: Fran Wayne, Chairperson, Alahyo Young, Vice-Chair, Dale Cranmer, Secretary, Pamela Whitney, Isaiah Campbell, Pierre La Rocco, Regina Raiford Babcock</p><p>1. Meeting called to order at 6:40 PM by the Chair.</p><p>2. New photo was taken for Borough web site. </p><p>3. October minutes were approved.</p><p>4. Update from Bob Scott-Council will evaluate and review his recommendations and changes in December.</p><p>5. Changes made to the LHRC Complainant form and cover sheet were approved. Dale to implement changes on forms, web site.</p><p>6. We received a letter from the Library Board chair expressing regret over the Library display issues we had last month. It was agreed that this was a good first step moving forward.</p><p>7. Received an inquiry from a citizen regarding a potential complaint; we recommended filing with the State due to the nature of the complaint. In the future, personal meetings and discussion with potential complainants will be limited to one Commissioner and will be assigned by the Chair. </p><p>8. Tri-State HRC Coalition-next meeting scheduled for December 5. Alahyo will forward a communication received from the coalition.</p><p>9. DOJ Hate Crimes Conference Report-Alahyo attended. Various hate crimes were presented, with a presentation by Matthew Shepherd's mother at the closing of the conference. The conference leaned toward a criminal discussion more than a community discussion, but was nonetheless a valuable experience for the attendees.</p><p>10. Borough News article was submitted by Regina regarding our new commissioners.</p><p>11. William Penn High School-Pierre is trying to contact the guidance counselor, William Garbe, to connect and see if the LHRC can assist or participate with the High School in any way.</p><p>12. The LHRC meeting for December has been canceled. Fran will notify Betsy. 13. Dale will email possible dates for a January post-holiday gathering.</p><p>14. Panel Display: Regina continues to work on this project. Dale will send Regina the tree logo from Hoff communications.</p><p>15. Reminder to all: Please send your worked hours to Pam for our records to close out 2012.</p><p>16. Meeting was adjourned at 8 PM.</p>
