<p> MOVIE POSTER PROJECT</p><p>Create an advertisement for a film version of the short story “The Monkey’s Paw.” You will be graded on your creativity, attention to detail, as well as the information that you provide. The poster will be presented in class and explained. It should look like a movie poster that you see in the theatres—informative and interesting to the viewer. </p><p>You must include the following: </p><p> Title must be written in large print with an appropriate font: The Monkey’s Paw Based on the short story by ______ A major illustration should be the focus of your poster. It must contain original art to represent the theme of the story. The first job of a poster is to attract the attention of the passerby, and only once this is done can a message be delivered. Avoid “busy” clutter AND wasted space.</p><p> Two quotes about the movie from critics.</p><p>______</p><p>______</p><p> A caption that grabs your viewer’s attention (This may be a quote from the story or a warning for potential audience members.) This should act as a “teaser”—make it short and catchy. Write two possible captions.
