<p> School of Contemporary Arts Unit Council Meeting November 15, 2017</p><p>Attendance: Bonnie Blake, Mack Brandon, Rachel Budin, Peter Campbell, Regina Clark, Gilad Cohen, Meredith Davis, Yolanda del Amo, Kelly Dolak, Renata Gangemi, Marc Gidal, Shalom Gorewitz, Andrew Hadel, Pat Keeton, Zach Layton, Ann Le Pore, Rebecca Leung, Lisa Lutter, Edna Negron, David Oh, John Peffer, Chris Reali, Neel Scott, Ruma Sen, Beba Shamash, Jackie Skrzynski, Sarah Stackhouse, Terra Vandergaw, Warner Wada, Joel Weissman. </p><p>Dean Perry called the meeting to order at 1:10pm</p><p>Special Guests:  Eileen Quaglino, CA liaison, Cahill Center Career Advisor/Co-Op Coordinator and Becky DeMarco, CA Pathways Program Coordinator discussed the Pathways Program components, “Identity and Vision” and the CA Speaker Series. -Survey format to be developed and tracked for Pathways Program. - Integration of Speaker Series with the other subsets; build a calendar, document events, publicize events, pay performers, reserve event space, etc. </p><p> Brittany Williams-Goldstein, Chief of Staff and Board Liaison, addressed the Shared Governance Task Force preliminary report; online form for faculty feedback is available on https://web.ramapo.edu/shared-governance-task-force. All-College Forum on Shared Governance will take place on November 29th.</p><p>Dean’s Announcements:</p><p> CA Dean’s Student Advisory Council will be initiated in Spring 2018.  CA Student Town Hall meeting will be held on November 29th from 12-1 in the Adler Theater.  Platinum: Performer’s contracts must be returned to CSI at least 2 weeks prior to the event.  Provost Search Committee sent a survey and request that it be completed by November 22nd.  Conveners were asked to make revisions on the 4 year cycle of classes.  Preliminary plan and design for the library renovations discussed briefly; further discussions and a walk thru of the drawings to be discussed at the next Unit Council Meeting on December 13th. </p><p>Committee Reports: </p><p> FAEC: Renata Gangemi reiterated that the Shared Governance Town Hall Meeting is on November 29th; library renovations and issues will be discussed. Implementation of online student evaluations will begin in the Spring semester for tenured faculty; non-tenured faculty will continue to use paper form.</p><p> SABBATICAL: Warner Wada announced that a total of 12 sabbatical applications have been received; 1 application received for a full year sabbatical.</p><p>Old/New Business:  Ann Le Pore sent an e-mail to the administration expressing concern about food service for international students during holiday breaks.</p><p>Meeting adjourned at 2:40 pm Minutes Submitted by Irene Grskovic, Unit Secretary </p>
