PRESS RELEASE – April 29, 2019 Susan Carrier (951) 551-5363 [email protected] TRIBUTE TO THE ALLMAN BROTHERS HEADS TO HHT On Saturday May 25th, downtown Hemet will be rocking to the sound of The Allman Brothers, with an appearance by RAMBIN’ MAN at the Historic Hemet Theatre. For the first half of the 1970s, the Allman Brothers Band was the most influential rock group in America, redefining rock music and its boundaries. The band's mix of blues, country, jazz, and even classical influences, and their powerful, extended on-stage jamming altered the standards of concert performance. They gave it all a distinctly Southern voice and, in the process, opened the way for a wave of '70s rock acts from south of the Mason-Dixon Line, including the Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Blackfoot. The band played their way onto Rolling Stones list of Top 100 Greatest Artists of all time and over the years, four of the band members made it onto the list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of all Time (including Duane Allman at #2). The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and in 2012 was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. RAMBLIN’ MAN is the premier tribute to The Allman Brothers, performing an amazing reproduction of all the top hits of Duane & Gregg Allman and the rest of the band. This will be the band’s first appearance in the valley. If you are a fan, or just love extraordinary guitar riffs, this show is a must-see. Top hits by the Allman Brothers include “Ramblin Man,” “Midnight Rider,” “Whipping Post,” “Jessica,” “Melissa,” “Statesboro Blues,” “Ain't Wastin' Time No More,” and “Blue Sky.” This show will be the second in Season Two of the Tribute Mania Concert Series. The season begins this Saturday with a Tribute to Bon Jovi featuring WANTED. Other concerts in the series include tributes to Bob Seger (6/8), Santana (6/22), Led Zeppelin (7/6), Aerosmith (7/20), REO Speedwagon (8/3), and Tom Petty (8/17). Upcoming concerts in the Friday Nite Live series include tributes to Creedence Clearwater Revival (5/31), and Johnny Cash (6/14). Tickets for Tribute Mania and Friday Nite Live shows are $22 presale / $25 day of show. Showtime is 7:00 pm, with doors open at 6:15 pm.
