Hopefully will have more information by then of next week. Kevin mentioned works schedule for Burnett Road – to commence 7/8/9th Oct 20 General booth road – 12th Oct 20. Seafield Road – no confirmed date yet. Events Alistair Macleod has confirmed all events planned for this year have been cancelled. Lochaber, Nairn and Badenoch & Strathspey No planned works due to pending budgets. All reactive work at the moment. If budget is approved plan to focus on junction resurfacing, culvert replacements and drainage / shrub clearance. Works @ Kinlochlevin cancelled because of recent outbreak of Covid 19. Have been focusing on verge repairs. Ross & Cromarty No planned works due to pending budget Caithness & Sutherland Jonathan stated some works planned for surfacing dressing @ Altnaharra on the A836 and hand patching in other areas. Safer routes to school works hoping to take place in Oct 2020 regarding footpaths. Events Thurso parade will require a road closure and will pass the information onto Bear. 5.0 Street Lighting A programme of works for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey is attached to appendix 1 Adam discussed that most of the work is fault driven. Roddy will contact City Fibre to discuss completing works happening in the same areas at the same time. 6.0 Project Design Unit Andrew Maciver advised Alistair Macleod that he would send an updated programme of Project Design Unit works once he has them. These can be added to the minutes once received. Added to appendix 2 7.0 Trunk Road Issues - Bear (Scotland) Ltd A programme of works for Bear (Scotland) Ltd is attached to appendix 3 Works issues/programmes discussed by Mike Gray: Most works will be completed via nightshift and convoy and some day shift and convoy. Works at Dalwhinnie Bridge – requires a 2 week closure – starting 31st Oct – 16th Nov 2020. And again 22nd – 25th Nov with a diversion to A86. Transformers are being moved from Invergordon – Beauly – Fort Augustus 16th – 18th Oct with a police escort. And again 20th – 22nd Nov a closure has already been requested for A833 Beauly – Drumnadrochit. Turbines are being moved in Wick/ Brora to a test to be done in Nov to progress to Dec/Jan but those dates are to be confirmed. There has been some staff movements so please see the new contacts for each area below: Tommy west = South East Colin Watson = North West Alan Campbell = North east Mike asked about the works at Kenneth street and Alistair confirmed that has been little or no complaints received. Planned Works – Utilities: 8.0 Openreach Duncan Maclennan has provided a copy of the Openreach Programme of Works. These are attached to appendix 4. Duncan Maclennan advised if there was any queries or problems to contact him. 9.0 Scottish Water . No major plans and all works are already in the system. Emma stated she will get a copy of the programme in Darren’s absence. Please see programme attached as appendix 5 10.0 Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) Andrew Ewing has forwarded a copy of SSE programme of works – these are attached to appendix 6 11.0 Scotland Gas Networks (SGN) Alex Torrance was not in attendance but sent the below to Alistair – No change to what we have already discussed. We are however, replacing the main in the section of Culduthel Road that City fibre are in at present. The main we are replacing is in the opposite footpath. That will be towards the year end. However, there is a section which is part of the other Culduthel Rd project that we have started that may impact on City Fibre. It is from the Scotmid shop at the mini roundabout to the path leading to the school (approx. 140m). If there is a conflict we will hold off. The main in Bank Lane must be replaced this financial year. We will have to do some work in the Lane and will I will speak to affected parties. And plan an evening closing of Bank Street for 2 nights from 1830 to 0700. This will work take place mid-January when the pub and restaurants are quieter. I will get Alba to apply for the closure and send you a copy of planned diversion. Access to the hotel will be un-affected from Academy Street. I will liaise with all affected parties nearer the time. Jim from City Fibre stated he would contact Alex directly to discuss works. 12.0 City Fibre Project Jim Moran has forwarded a map that shows all the core routes in green. They are working on Kenneth – Glenurquhart street at the moment. Please see below as appendix 7 13.0 Lastmile No attendance but we will continue to send invites to each meeting. 14.0 Scottish Road Works Register (SRWR) Jonathan brought up the issue regarding 3rd party contractors doing works without permits or insurance. He had 2 examples specifically regarding works done on behalf of SSE. Andrew asked if he could send all the information to him and he can pass onto Gray Hay to investigate. Kimberly and Bradley stated they have had the same issues recently with other contractors. Emma stated all permits should be in place before works are started but couldn’t comment on the form used as she hasn’t seen it. She will get some more information and pass onto Alison. 15.0 Public Transport Public Transport will be copied into minutes as no representative present at RAUC Meeting. 16.0 Health and Safety Issues No issues raised. 17.0 AOCB Adam requested that other areas for street lighting are added to the invite for the next team meeting. 18.0 Next Meeting Will take place on Thursday 19th November 2020 at 10:00.
