HIT THE BOOK CLUB WITH REPUTATION BY SARA SHEPARD 1. The word “reputation” comes up several times in this novel—how do you define reputation? What is its importance in the context of this novel? 2. What did you think of the email security breach in this novel? Did it seem realistic for today’s day and age? 3. A lot of the characters in this novel do despicable things that are revealed during the email breach. Did you like any of the characters originally or find that they redeemed themselves throughout the rest of the novel? 4. In the first part of the novel Kit’s husband, Greg, is murdered. Who did you first assume had done it? Were you shocked when you discovered who it truly was? 5.What did you think of the ending of the novel? Was anything truly resolved? 6. What was your greatest takeaway from Reputation? 7. It’s no secret that Sarah Shepard is also the author of the Pretty Little Liars series which was adapted into a very popular ABC Family/Freeform television show. If you were casting the T.V. show/movie for Reputation, who would you cast as who and why? 8. Many of the characters in this novel do horrible things, but some are worse than others. Who was your least favorite character? What was their breaking point? 9. While this novel is written from multiple points of view, the plot mainly focuses on character Kit Manning-Strasser. Kit is a multi-faceted character who has distinct relationships with so many of the other characters. Discuss these relationships. 10. Discuss the male characters in this novel. How did they specifically interact with the strong female characters that Shepard created? .
