She is the daughter of the late George Secord and the former Jacte Tulte. Predeceased by her first husband Ben W. Vickery (1968) and her second husband Ernest Declerck (1973). Dear mother of Mrs. Ruth Brock of London and step-daughter Mrs. Nellie St. Pierre. Predeceased by son-in-law James (1998). Dear sister of Mrs. Lillian Mctavish of Blenheim. Predeceased by brothers George, Ernest and Wilfred Secord and sisters Madeline Black, Merle Spence and Marie Secord. also survived by one grandson Jim Brock and his wife Lynda of London and two great grandchildren Bryan and Debbie Brock of London. She is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Andre lived in the Langton area since 1945. he was a tobacco farmer, retiring in 1966. He was very community minded and a well known wood carver in Norfolk County. A member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Langton and the Langton Merry Makers.Much loved husband and best friend of 70 years of Marie (Lefbvre) (E.P.note - think this should read Lefebvre) DeWaele. Yvon was predeceased by his dear wife Therese. Dad is lovingly remembered by his children, Lise Dudar (Ron), Jackie Baker (Rob), Denis, Claudette Dombek (Bill) and Gisele Gottfried (Scott); 11 grandchildren; one great- grandchild; and his sisters, Madeleine and Yvette. Living his life to the fullest, Dad was a Jack of all trades. His passions were: his family and friends, fishing, games, dancing and playing pool. Yvon was also an active member of the Belgium Club. His great sense of humour will be sorely missed. H.A. (Public General Campus), on Monday, August 18, 2003, George Thurston, age 87 of Chatham-Kent, beloved husband of Magdalena "Madeline" Alma (Haest) Thurston. Born in France in 1916, son of the late Augusta (VanAcker) and Isadore Thurston, George was retired from Navistar International and also farmed in Raleigh and Chatham Townships. he was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Kent Belgium Dutch Canadian Club and the K.B.D.C.C. Trough Bowling League. He will be sadly missed by a daughter Georgette and her husband David Skipper of Glencoe, 2 sons; Larry and his wife Betty of Chatham and Charles "Chuck" and his wife Brenda of Wallaceburg.
