To avoid that great l l l c evi , a mu tip i ity of indexes , it is thought better to issue l l c l genera index vo umes, ombining six or more vo umes of c l the series in a ommon index , and the Editors wou d be glad to hear from anyone willing to help in the preparation l of an index on this p an . It is of the highest importanc e that we shoul d not delay in printing the Registers as rapidly l l c c c n as possib e , as this is the on y way in whi h their ontents a ff c l be e e tive y preserved .
