A cheerful but amoral proprietress of a meat pie shop. Todd's former Mrs. Lovett Contralto; 40s-50s landlady who has been enamored with him for years. Cheerful and brimming with youthful optimism. A sailor who falls instantly Anthony Hope Tenor; 20s-30s in love with Johanna. Johanna Soprano; 18+ Todd's beautiful daughter who was raised by the Judge as his ward. A simpleton indentured by Pirelli. He later works under Mrs. Lovett but Tobias Ragg Tenor; 13+ remains suspicious of Todd. Would consider adults or youths 13+. A corrupt judge who is first infatuated with Lucy Barker, but later turns his Judge Turpin Baritone/Bass; 40s-60s obsession to Johanna. The Beadle Tenor; 30s-50s Judge Turpin's right-hand man; a corrupt public official. A mad crone whose warnings of mischief are ignored by the London people. Beggar Woman Mezzo-Soprano; 30s-40s A former employee of Benjamin Barker. He's now a con-artist taking on the Adolf Pirelli Tenor; 30s-40s persona of a flashy Italian barber. Men and women of London, customers, lunatics, clean-shaven victims, etc. Ensemble All Vocal Parts; 18+ Directed by Matthew Scott Campbell. Auditions open for men and women age 18 and up, and one boy age 13 and up. Auditionees should prepare 30 sec. to 1 min. of singing with accompaniment (pianist, CD player, and 1/8” input—headphone—cable will be provided). If called back, sides will be provided after auditions. First-time auditionees are welcome, no experience necessary. Rehearsals are scheduled Mondays through Fridays beginning March 9, 2020.
