You protect the land from the people, the people from the land, the people from each other, and the people from themselves. It's what you are trained to do without even thinking, a reflexive and unconditional act. If you're lucky, you get assigned to people who seem worth saving and land and waters whose situation is not hopeless. If not, you save them anyway. And maybe in time, saving them will make them worth it.” – Kurt Cashwell “May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can.” - Edward Abbey 2 Park Ranger Association of California: Agency Directory 3 Park Ranger Association of California: Agency Directory Region 1: Northern California AGENCY LIST: Arcata Police Department Marin County Parks City of Alameda Recreation and Parks District Marin Municipal Water District City of Chico / Chico Parks Mendocino County Parks City of Fairfield Parks Napa County Regional Park and Open Space City of Fremont District City of Napa Parks and Recreation Placer County Parks City of Richmond Police Department San Rafael Police Department City of Sacramento Parks Sacramento County Regional Parks City of Walnut Creek Open Space Division Solano County Parks Del Norte County Parks Sonoma County Regional Parks East Bay Municipal Utilities District Wildlands Conservancy: Estero Americano Coast Preserve & Jenner Headlands Preserve East Bay Regional Park (Rangers) East Regional Parks Police Department El Dorado Irrigation District-Sly Park Recreation Area Eureka Police Department Fulton El Camino Recreation and Park District Hayward Area Recreation and Parks District Humboldt County Parks and Trails Lake County Parks & Trails Livermore Area Recreation and Park District 4 Park Ranger Association of California: Agency Directory Arcata Police Department “We, of the Arcata Police Department, recognize our contribution to the quality of life and safe environment in our community through the provision of professional law enforcement services.
