Quite an achievement in the pub world. They purchased it on December 20 th 1999 and spent the first 2 months on a major overhaul. The White Hart has gone from a quiet village pub to the vibrant, busy dining pub in the heart of Duffield. The pub has undergone several refurbishments during those 15 years. The initial investment reconfigured the whole of the interior, t.aking down walls, extending the kitchen and opening the pub up into open plan zones. The doors were first opened by Chris on 18 th February 2000. In 2007 the White Hart underwent its next refurbishment which included the dining room extension to the rear of the property In 2012 came the next big investment. This entailed restyling the front bar and installing the latest in pizza ovens.
