DeKalb County Sheriff’s Merit Commission Special Meeting Minutes Monday, November 22, 2010 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting: Conducting a written examination for current Deputies in the Telecommunications Division who wish to test for the position of Sergeant. The meeting was held in the East Conference Room of the DeKalb County Legislative Center. Those present at the meeting were: Commissioners Bennetta Stearnes and Todd Walker. Also present briefly to make introductions was Sheriff Roger Scott. Sheriff Scott left before the testing began. Four candidates from the Telecommunications Division presented to take the examination. They are: Steve Johnson, Mary Jo Johannaningsmeier, Rebecca Scott and Mairicait O’Neill. Instructions were given by the Commissioners and testing began at 6:08 p.m. The written tests were completed by all candidates at 6:48 p.m. Instructions were given to the candidates regarding the final phase of testing which will be a Professional Assessors Panel for oral interviews on December 10, 2010. Commissioners gave each candidate sealed envelopes containing a written project which is to be completed and submitted on or before noon on November 24th. Candidates are also to submit a resume on or before noon on December 7, 2010. Written projects will be graded. Resumes will not be graded but will be given to the member of the Assessor Panel and the Commissioners so they will know a little more about the candidates. Candidates were dismissed and the meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m. Commissioner Todd Walker secured the examination packets which are to be mailed to Profile Evaluations, Inc. for scoring.
