Approval of Minutes for the Reorganization and Regular meeting July 6, 2021 Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the July 6th (Reorganization & Regular) minutes. B. Approval of Reconciliation statements for May 2021 Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the Reconciliations for May 2021. C. Approval of Budgetary Transfers to reallocate Monies Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the budget transfers to reallocate monies for Athletic Trainer with Maple City expenditures. D. Approval of Warrants for July, 2021 General Fund School Lunch Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the Warrants as listed above. E. Approval of Capital Fund Warrant for July, 2021 Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the Capital Fund Warrant for July, 2021. F. Approval of the Resolution to Confirm Tax Rolls and Authorize the Tax Levy WHEREAS the Board of Education has been authorized by the voters at the Annual School Meeting to Raise for the current budget of 2021-22 school year a sum not to exceed $14,937,499.00. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the board fix the equalized tax rates by towns and confirm the extension of the taxes as they appear on the following described tax roll: (see attached) AND BE IT HEREBY DIRECTED THAT the tax warrant of this board, duly signed shall be affixed to the above-described tax rolls authorizing the collection of said taxes to begin September 1, 2021 and end November 1, 2021 giving the tax warrant an effective period of 62 days at the expiration of which time the tax collector shall make an accounting in writing to the board; AND IT IS FURTHER DIRECTED THAT the delinquent tax penalties shall be fixed as follows: 1st month free period, 2nd month penalty of 2 percent added. Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the above resolution. G. Approval of the Motion Concerning Tax Warrant Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the Motion Concerning Tax Warrant in the amount of $ 5,220,459. H. Approval of the following Resolution: General Resolution for the Participating in Cooperative Bid coordinated by the Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates Counties for Cooperative Electricity Bid WFL 2022-12 as attached. Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the resolution as listed above. I. Approval of the Policy Statement for Free and Reduced-Price Meals or Free Milk Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the policy statement for free and reduced-price meals or free milk. J. Approval to purchase the following textbooks to be used in the Introduction to Guitar Class: Hal Leonard, Guitar Method: Complete Edition, by Will Schmid and Greg Koch, ISBN # 978-0-634-04701-5 Superintendent’s Recommendation - That the Board of Education approve the purchase of the textbook listed above. K. Approval for the purchase of breakfast for Superintendent’s Conference Days on September 1 and 2, 2021, January 31 and March 21, 2022 Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the purchase of breakfast for Superintendent’s Conference Days at a cost not to exceed $340/day. L. Approval for the purchase of donuts and supplies for the First Honors Recognition Breakfast Superintendent’s Recommendation - That the Board of Education approve to purchase of donuts and supplies for the First Honors Recognition Breakfast for the first, second, and third marking period, at a cost not to exceed $460.00. M. Approval of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Alfred-Almond Support Staff Association and the Alfred-Almond Central School District Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Agreement between the Alfred-Almond Support Staff Association and the Alfred-Almond Central School District regarding Bus Driver and Bus Maintenance Mechanics incentive payment. N. Approval of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Alfred-Almond Support Staff Association and the Alfred-Almond Central School District Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Agreement between the Alfred-Almond Support Staff Association and the Alfred-Almond Central School District and Association Member Matt Getman for the purpose of clarifying certain leave benefits provided to the Employee as he continues to work in two (2) part time positions. O. Approval to appoint an Elementary Summer School Teacher Aide – Dawn Proverse Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education appoint Dawn Proverse as an Elementary Summer School Teacher Aide effective July 6, 2021 and ending July 29, 2021 at a salary of Salary: $13.67/hour, 15 days, 4 hours/day. P. Approval of the following Substitute Teacher – Steven Curran Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve Steven Curran as a substitute teacher for the 2021-2022 school year pending completion of the fingerprinting requirements. Q. Approval of the following Substitute Support Staff – Virginia Sheridan, Cleaner and Food Service Helper, Michele Worth, Cleaner Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the above listed as a substitute support staff for the 2021-2022 school year pending successful completion of the fingerprinting. R. Approval of Substitutes for Teaching, Teacher Assistants, Support Staff and Bus Drivers (regular and substitute) see attached Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve all the substitutes for teaching, support staff and bus drivers (regular and substitute) for 2021-2022 school year. Approval of Early Dismissal for all Elementary Students PreK-6 on November 22 & 23, 2021 and March 17 & 18 2022 at 11:50 a.m. each day Superintendent’s Recommendation – That the Board of Education approve the early dismissal of all elementary students for parent-teacher conferences as listed above. AGENDA CHANGES None PUBLIC COMMENT None TEMPORARY CLERK Gary Acker made the motion, seconded by Patricia Napolitano, to appoint Joanne Demetreu Temporary Clerk until a permanent one is appointed later in the meeting. Vote: 4 aye 0 nay OATH OF OFFICE Newly elected Board Member Jason Burdick read and signed the Oath of Office. ELECTION OF BOARD PRESIDENT Gary Acker nominated Earl Pierce for the position of President and Patricia Napolitano seconded the nomination. Earl Pierce was unanimously elected President of the Board of Education for the 2021-22 fiscal year. Vote: 4 aye 0 nay OATH OF OFFICE Newly elected Board of Education President read and signed the Oath of Office. ELECTION OF VICE PRESIDENT Gary Acker nominated Nadine Shardlow for the position of Vice President and the nomination was seconded by Jason Burdick. Nadine Shardlow was unanimously elected Vice President of the Board of Education for the 2021-22 school year. Vote: 4 aye 0 nay OATH OF OFFICE Newly elected Board of Education Vice President read and signed the Oath of Office.
