On Tuesday, October 24, at 7 p.m., Don Lieder of Perrysburg will speak on “The U.S. Energy Dilemma.” A retired chemical engineer who worked for Sun Oil for 30 years and has served as a consultant to the EPA, Mr. Lieder will address the “no easy answer” energy situation in this country and the world, with attention to possi- ble alternative energy sources. After Mr. Lieder’s presentation, the floor will be open to questions and comments from anyone who wishes to share their opinions on the energy crisis. “Topical Tuesdays” welcomes polite discourse on “hot-button” issues. Mr. Lieder has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in engineering administration from Case Western.
