In 1931-1933, the race was shifted to Latonia in Northern Kentucky. The Futurity was revived at Keeneland in the fall of 1938. From 1943-1945, the Futurity was renewed as a part of the Churchill Downs fall meetings. Claiborne Farm of Paris, Ky., became the sponsor in 2014.
