Detail on Riparian vegetation, Non e including endemic and endangered species of fauna, if any 16. Geo -hydrology of the river, Lease area lies within the riverbed of Sabarmati river. The flow (perennial, seasonal, Sabarmati rivers in Gujarat originate from the Aravalli mountain etc.), sediment transport range and flow through the extensive Gujarat alluvial plains before characteristics/replenishment they meet the Gulf of Khambat. These rivers in their middle and potential, etc. lower reaches flow in close proximity to thereconstructed palaeomargin of the Thar desert. The presence of stabilised aeolian dunes in the landscape suggests that the Thar desert margin expanded to these areas in the past. The modern precipitation varies from about 300 to 700mm and the mean annual rainfall in the studied reaches is about 650 mm.Geologically the area is comprised of quaternary alluvium (Sand). Sandy layers are composed of fine, Medium and coarse sand while clayey layers are impervious and devoid of porosity. Swelling and pintching of strata is general phenomena in alluvial area. Ground water occurs under confined state in sandy stratus of the alluvium. It contains lot of ground water which is extracted by drilling deep tube wells. Main source of ground water recharge is rainfall. About 20% of rainfall good as percolation in to underground aquifers while rest goes as ran off in depression areas situates nearby and as evaporation losses. In these sandy strata certain upper beds are yielding sweet waters. Sabarmati is a seasonal river. 17. Width and condition of access 1.5 k .m. of kutcha road having width of 5 m t. road (kutcha/pucca) to the lease area. DETAILS ON MINING / EXCAVATION ACTIVITIES 18. Occupational Safety & Health The method of mining will be in small scale and of semi mechanized in nature .There will not be any deployment of heavy machines in the area for carrying out mining operation which will create noise pollution, air pollution or any other operational hazards due to presence of machines. 28. Details on transportatio n Water sprinkler will be provided to avoid dust generation during route & measures proposed transportation on the route to the pacca road. for control of fugitive emission during transportation 29. Detail on transportation route Plantation will be done on the banks of the river and both sides of area/ road sides in at 20% of kuccha road of 1 km. 1000 nos. of plants will be planted in lease area, numbers & types consultation with the local forest office and CPCB guidelines.
