This Ecological Appraisal presents the ecological, biodiversity and nature conservation status of land off Derby Road, New Mills, High Peak. The appraisal was requested in connection with proposals to develop the site to housing. ii. The appraisal presents the results of a desktop study and extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey carried out in January 2017. The scope of survey undertaken is appropriate to identify potential ecological constraints, the remit of mitigation required and opportunities for biodiversity associated with the development proposals.
