Est. 1931 by Archer Huntington and his wife, sculptor Anna Hyatt- Huntington. The garden features the work of American figurative sculptors from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, as well as Southeastern flora and fauna. Scope and Contents An acoustiguide tour of Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina narrated by A. Hyatt Mayor, the nephew of sculptor Anna Hyatt-Huntington, with an introduction by the director at that time, Gurdon Lucius Tarbox, Jr. Mayor discusses sculpture in the collection by numerous sculptors including Anna Hyatt-Huntington, Charles Rumsey, Daniel Chester French, and Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Excerpts from interviews with Anna Hyatt- Huntington are included in the recording.
