SCRIPT FONT STYLES The semi-custom invitations all have pre-chosen digitized fonts, both a script and a text font. This is a big portion of why there’s no design cost for you with the semi-customs. There are two fonts that can be substituted in any of the semi-custom suites, otherwise the suites are set with their current fonts. TEXT STYLES SERIF VS. SANS SERIF Just as calligraphy styles can totally change the formality and vibe of the invite, so can the text fonts! There are two kinds of text fonts: serif and sans serif. Sans serif fonts don’t have the little extra lines on the edges of each letter. See this example here with a serif font on the left and sans serif on the right: L vs L The serif fonts are typically more traditional and more formal. The sans serif fonts present a more modern vibe and can also be considered a more causal font. Most sans serif fonts look best in all caps. CASES A little lesson in the different case options as well just in case we use this lingo during our proofing together: Title Case - All Words Capitalized in the Title Sentence case - The first word capitalized, the rest lower case UPPER CASE - ALL LETTERS ARE CAPITALIZED lower case - all lower case, italics usually looks best when lower case FONT OPTIONS If you’re doing a full custom design, please let us know what text styles you’re drawn to!
