Through its new Immigrant Integra - African, pages 8-9 tion Initiative, The Trust has provided the Village with funding for programs to as - sist Skokie residents who are new to this country and need assistance settling into Asian, pages 9-16 the American way of life. This Directory of Immigrant Services is intended to help Caribbean Islands, page 16 immigrant residents find important services for them and their families. Another program funded by The Trust is Skokie’s Immigrant Information Series that takes European, pages 16-19 place at the Skokie Public Library on the first Monday evening of each month. This Hispanic, Latino and Mexican, pages 19-22 program is scheduled through March 2009 and includes speakers on housing, em - Middle Eastern, pages 22-23 ployment, special education services for children, adult education, health care, in - surance and other important topics.
