Office of Administrative Services FOIA Requester Service Center October 30, 2019 This letter is in response to your U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request number (GSA-2020-000041), submitted on October 10, 2019, in which you requested the following: "[a] copy of the index of database of historic murals in GSA managed and owned properties." Then on October 15, 2019, you further clarified your FOIA request by stating the following: "I request a copy of each list, database, or index of murals, such as, for example, WPA (works Progress Adminiatration) murals located in GSA buildings. This may be part or a subset of a larger database of GSA art objects. I will accept in fulfillment of my request the database of GSA art objects if that would be administratively easier." Enclosed please find the document responsive to your request. The list includes works dated through 1962, which is the period prior to the implementation of the Guiding Principles for Federal Architecture. This completes our action on this FOIA request. Should you have any questions, please contact Ms. Jennifer Gibson, Director, Art in Architecture and Fine Arts at (202)501-0930 or by email at [email protected]. You may also contact the GSA FOIA Public Liaison, Audrey Brooks, at (202) 205-5912 or by email at [email protected] for any additional assistance and to discuss any aspect of your FOIA request.
