PRODUCTION BIOS JOHN ERICK Writer, Director & Executive Producer DREW DOWDLE Writer & Executive Producer Filmmaking duo John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle are a writing-directing-producing team known for their captivating projects and well-rounded stories that showcase their actors in a different light. Most recently, the Dowdles saw the release of their film No Escape, starring Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan, and Lake Bell. The film, which made over $55 million at the worldwide box office, tells the story of an American family settling into their new overseas home, who soon find themselves caught in the middle of a revolution. Previously, the Dowdles released As Above / So Below, a supernatural thriller about an archeologist’s search for a lost relic in the catacombs under the streets of Paris. The film, which John directed and Drew produced based on the script they co-wrote, was released by Universal Pictures and made over $41 million at the worldwide box office. In 2010, Devil, was released by Universal and grossed $63 million at the worldwide box office. John directed and Drew executive produced, based on a story by M. Night Shyamalan, who also produced. Prior to Devil, the brothers co-wrote, John directed, and Drew executive produced Quarantine for Sony Screen Gems, which was released in 2008 and met with critical and commercial success, grossing over $41 million at the box office. The Dowdles’ indie horror / faux documentary, The Poughkeepsie Tapes was a break out success at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. The documentary-style depiction of the hunt for a serial killer shocked audiences and sold to MGM. The Dowdles’ first feature, The Dry Spell, was a micro-budget indie that premiered at the 2005 Slamdance International Film Festival where it collected a Jury Award. The Dowdles also executive produced the documentary Transcendent Man, based on futurist Ray Kurzweil, which premiered at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival and was met with major critical acclaim. SALVATORE STABILE Writer & Executive Producer Salvatore Stabile is writer, director and producer for both film and television. Born and raised in Brooklyn New York, he wrote and directed his first feature film, Gravesend, when he was only 19 years old. The film, executive produced by Oliver Stone, was released by Palm Pictures in 1997. Stabile's second movie, Where God Left His Shoes, starred John Leguizamo and was released by IFC Films. Where God Left His Shoes was nominated for a number of awards and went on to win a Humanitas Prize in the Sundance Feature Film Category. Stabile has also written and produced on several high profile and award winning television shows including The Sopranos, Rescue Me, Revenge and Power. Currently, Stabile is developing his next television show and is also preparing to direct his third feature film, A Civil Right, based on the true story of civil rights leader Dr. Gilbert Mason. Sarah Nicole Jones Writer & Co-Executive Producer Sarah Nicole Jones is a writer and producer for television. A native of New Orleans, she received her first staff writing job on the Netflix series Longmire, at the young age of 23. Since then, she has held writing and producing positions on various network and cable series. Jones is currently serving as a writer and Co/EP on the forthcoming series Altered Carbon for Netflix, as well as writing her first feature: When The Men Were Gone, based on the novel of the same name by Marjorie Herrera Lewis. .
