LIVE AUCTION GUIDELINES Preview items in the Live Auction Tent from 10:00-12:30 1. Live Auction will begin at 12:30 pm 2. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer is the winning bidder. 3. Once the bidder is acknowledged by the auctioneer as the winner, title passes to the winner who immediately thereupon assumes full responsibility for the item. 4. Unless specified by the donor, no substitutions or additions will be made. 5. Payment must be made by personal check, cash, American Express, VISA or MasterCard at the close of the auction unless other arrangements have been made. Invoices or receipts will be mailed as requested. 6. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There will be no exchanges or refunds on any item. 7. There is one (1) year time limit for all trips and certificates, or as stated under the individual item. There are no exceptions. 8. Any and all transportation, including ground transportation at the destination and the accommodations, UNLESS SPECIFIED OTHERWISE, are the responsibility of the purchaser. WHAT IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE LIVE AUCTION? There are two ways you can participate and support YFT if you are unable to attend. You may bid by telephone live during the auction or you may submit an absentee sealed bid and our auctioneer will bid the item for you. Telephone Bidding If you would like to place a bid by phone, you will need to register in advance by providing your name, address and phone number to reach you that day. We will call you about three items prior to your auction item is announced. Once bidding begins, we will talk you through as the bids progress and ask you at each stage if you wish to continue. This will continue until you are successful, or advise you want to stop further bidding. You must register 24 hours in advance of the auction. Absentee Bidding If you are unable to attend and not available by phone the day of the Fair, you may place an absentee bid. We will place your bid on your behalf during the auction. Please complete a bidding form specifying the item you wish to bid on and your maximum bid. This gives us written permission to act as your representative to try and secure the item at the lowest possible price, subject to any reserve and interest from other bidders.
