EXPLANATORY NOTE This Form 10-Q/A (Amendment No. 1) to American Airlines Inc.’s (American) Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2013, initially filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 18, 2013 (Original Filing), is being filed in response to communications received from the SEC in connection with a confidential treatment request with respect to Exhibit 10.1, 2012 Omnibus Restructure Agreement, dated as of January 11, 2013, of the Original Filing.
