Prior to employment, an employee shall present a letter from their commanding officer to the Director of Human Resources indicating they are required to carry a weapon, even when not on duty, as part of their overall duties as a peace officer. Notify their instructor, supervisor, etc. that they are peace officers required to carry a weapon.
