(D) Hotel: Vila Galé Sintra Monday, Oct. 21: Lisbon After breakfast, meet your group in the hotel lobby and board your private coach for a full-day tour of Lisbon. This excursion includes admission to the National Palace of Sintra, free time for lunch and shopping in the Alfama district, and admission to St. George’s Castle. You will return to the hotel in the evening, then depart again at 8:00pm for dinner and a fado show at Sabores de Sintra. (B, D) Hotel: Vila Galé Sintra Tuesday, Oct. 22: Lisbon–Braga This morning you will check out of your hotel and meet your private coach for the full-day journey (including a half-day sightseeing excursion in Sintra) to Braga, a city north of Porto. After a visit (with admission included) to the National Palace of Pena, you will stop in Coimbra for lunch on your own. Continue to your hotel in Braga and enjoy dinner tonight with the group. (B, D) Hotel: Vila Galé Collection Braga Wednesday, Oct. 23: Braga/Porto After breakfast, meet your private coach to embark on a half-day tour of Porto. A visit to the local wine cellar will be followed by lunch at a nearby restaurant. You have the afternoon and evening to explore on your own before meeting your coach at 9:30pm to transfer back to your hotel. (B, L) Hotel: Vila Galé Collection Braga Thursday, Oct. 24: Braga–Lisbon Check out of your hotel and join your group for the return trip to Lisbon. You will arrive in the capital in time for lunch on your own before heading out on a panoramic city tour. This excursion includes a walk through the Old Town, a photo stop at the Belém Tower, and a visit to a local bakery for a coffee and traditional Portuguese custard tart. Dinner and a wine tasting tonight will be served at the hotel. (B, D) Hotel: Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos Friday, Oct. 25: Depart Lisbon After breakfast, check out of your hotel and make your way to the Lisbon airport. (B).
