It also marks the second half of the implementation of the National Health plan 2011- 2020.The Milne Bay Provincial Health Board’s final term in office as this is the third year since they were sworn into office in early 2015. I wish to acknowledge that 2017 has been a challenging year however with the support of the CEO and Senior Executive Management I’m proud to say that there has been significant achievements. This is done through the implementation of its Heath Service Strategic Plan and NHP 2011-2020 through the Annual Work Plan 2017. The Board meets a minimum of four(4) times per year. In 2017 only four (4) meetings were convened for the year. In addition the following sub- committees conducted their respective meetings: Quality Improvement , Planning and Budgeting, Project Management, Patient Care, Human Resources, Finance and Infection Control sub-committee. These sub- committees meet to deliberate on issues at the operational level and make recommendations to the board committee to advise the MBPHA board.
