Plenary Speakers and Presenters The Most Rev. Dr. Foley Beach ACNA served as the rector and pastor of Holy Cross Anglican Church (now Cathedral) in Loganville, Georgia from its founding in 2004. In 2010, he was consecrated as the first bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the South. After election by the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) College of Bishops, he began serving as archbishop of the province in 2014. In 2018, Archbishop Beach was elected as the chairman of the GAFCON Movement, a global family of authentic Anglicans standing together to retain and restore the Bible to the heart of the Anglican Communion. Archbishop Beach is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, the School of Theology at the University of the South and Georgia State University. He has served in ministry with Young Life, the Episcopal church, and the Anglican church. His passion is to share the Word of God in such a way as to help others discover the incredible living Jesus. Married for more than 30 years, he and his wife, Allison, have two grown children and make their home in the Metro Atlanta area. The Rev. John Bradosky NALC recently completed his final term as bishop of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC). Bishop Emeritus Bradosky graduated from the Hamma School of Theology at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and Indiana University in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He had 32 years of pastoral experience when he was elected the first bishop of the NALC. He served as the senior pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield, Ohio, Trinity Lutheran Church in Canton, Ohio, and Grace Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach, California. He was the senior pastor of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dayton, Ohio, when he joined the NALC upon its formation in June 2010. He was appointed the provisional general secretary of the NALC in January 2011, before being elected bishop at the NALC’s first Convocation, which reunited around 800 Lutherans at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church in Hilliard, Ohio in August 2011. He was re-elected for another four-year term at the NALC Convocation in August 2015. In August 2018, 5 5 Bishop Emeritus Bradosky announced that he would not seek re-election, and he effectively stepped down in August 2019, when the Rev. Dr. Dan Selbo was elected as his successor. The Rev. Dr. Gemechis Desta Buba NALC currently serves as assistant to the bishop for missions in the North American Lutheran Church. He is originally from Ethiopia and now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and three children. Pastor Buba received a Bachelor of Theology with high distinction from Mekane Yesus Theological Seminary, where he served as a professor for two years. After working on a Master of Theology in Church History at the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology, he moved to the United States for further studies. In 2003, he received his Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Education from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. In May 2006, Pastor Buba earned a doctorate from Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Georgia, specializing in missional leadership. Pastor Buba was ordained in 2001. He has served as a seminary professor, mission developer, senior pastor, vice president of the Southeastern Black Lutheran Pastors’ Conference, assistant to the bishop of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), director of African National Ministries (ELCA), and president of the worldwide Union of Oromo Evangelical Churches. He was pastor of St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church and the African/Oromo Lutheran Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also the founder and president of Leadstar International. In addition to academic study and ordained ministry, Pastor Buba participates in multiple international ministries through speaking, leading revivals, leadership development conventions, and evangelical mission events. 6 6 Ms. Katherine Coolidge RCC is the director for parish and diocesan services for the Catherine of Siena Institute. She joined the Institute staff as the Called & Gifted coordinator in 2014, after two decades of parish ministry as catechist, program coordinator, youth minister, director of evangelization, liturgist and pastoral associate.
