The chef will prepare several appetizers and entrees not on the regular menu, including such dishes as borscht (beet soup) and sorrel soup, herring, breaded pork cutlets, pierogi, potato pancakes, cabbage rolls, kielbasa, salads, pastries, coffee, tea. NOTICE--EDSO Member Discount In 2005, when the EDSO treasury balance totaled more than $4000, the board decided to start discounting most EDSO events by $3 or $5 per member. This program has succeeded in rewarding EDSO members who participate and also in encouraging some guests to join as members. Now that the treasury balance is less than $1200, the board has decided to suspend these discounts for the remainder of 2009 starting at the end of September.
