DEAR PATRONS © Carter Rose Welcome to the Winspear Opera House on the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus, where we’re celebrating ten years of “Staging the Amazing.” We’re so glad you’re joining us for Beautiful — The Carole King Musical. This show is full of some of the best songs of the 20th Century and tells the story of the woman who penned them. “The neon lights are bright on Broadway…” Next is the final show of our 2018/2019 Broadway season: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Our 2019/2020 season will begin in November with Once, followed by Once On This Island, then The Color Purple, Blue Man Group, The Band’s Visit, An American in Paris, Bandstand, and The SpongeBob Musical! All of this will happen right here in the beautiful Winspear Opera House. “You’ve got a friend…” The 2019/2020 season is our first in partnership with Dallas Summer Musicals, providing even more opportunities for North Texas audiences to enjoy the best of Broadway. Both organizations are presenting amazing seasons, and some DSM shows will be presented here in the Winspear Opera House. In the upcoming season, The Band’s Visit and Blue Man Group (an optional add-on) are part of this collaboration. And season subscribers at both organizations receive presale access to shows in both seasons! “A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul…” In addition to Broadway, we’ve got a calendar full of all kinds of shows: concerts, comedy, speakers… the best dance companies from around the world, brought to Dallas through our partnership with TITAS/Dance Unbound. You can see some of the coolest new work being made right here in Dallas in our Elevator Project series, and shows by our five resident companies who are all among the best in the country: Anita N.
