The Forum has a collective focus to tackle discrimination, reduce inequality, and foster good relations for all stakeholders in the sub-region through partnership working. The aim of the forum is to support the delivery of the equality, diversity and human rights agenda within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This includes developing a more consistent approach to partnership working on equalities and to heighten the equality, diversity and human rights agenda by implementing a positive approach to shared working. As a forum we are committed to equality of opportunity for everyone and particularly the protected characteristics of age, disability, gender re-assignment, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
