Importance: High Had a long call with Matt Wald, who, as you know, is far more fluent in power plant technology than I am. He was making the case that besides the closed mountaineer plant in WV, CCS has never really been demonstrated. While there are some projects being built, they are not yet operational, and therefore not “demonstrated.” I gave him my best arguments, but I did not make a sale. Since he missed the meeting(s) with Gina over past day or two, it might be worth your while to have Gina or some other senior person call him ASAP to walk him through how the standard meets the adequately demonstrated test. Also, he will be talking to AEP in ~ 45 minutes. Dan Weiss Daniel J. Michael has sent it out to senior staff to review. I don’t know whether the offices have already had a chance to weigh in on this—I hope so. Jim, can OPAR coordinate making sure people have weighed in and collecting any comments please? Looks like Michael needs this by COB next Wednesday. It looks like we tend to make the same comments year after year. Thanks.
