The Aggies are 1-2 in WAC play and 6-1 overall at home this season. After winning six of their first 10/7 Hawai`i* W, 4-2 eight matches, the Aggies are 2-4-1 in their last seven. As a team, NMSU has 23 goals by nine different players and 14 assists from 11 players. The NMSU defense has posted six shutouts this season, and sophomore keeper Erin Wosick leads 10/14 at New Mexico State* 6 p.m. the team with 12 appearances in goal, 46 saves and a 1.02 goals-against average. 10/16 at Louisiana Tech* 11 a.m. 10/21 Utah State* 3 p.m. New Mexico State is led by first-year head coach Blair Quinn, who holds an 8-6-1 career record. The Aggies went 7-8-3 overall and 1-6-1 in the WAC last year. They returned seven starters and seven letter winners this season. The 10/23 Nevada* 12 p.m. series dates to 2009, New Mexico State’s inaugural year of soccer. Louisiana Tech is 8-4-4 overall, 1-2 in the WAC and holds an undefeated home record of 4-0-1. Idaho is LA Tech’s only % - Governor’s Cup Tournament (Moscow, Idaho) opponent over the weekend. Tech has outscored its opponents 26-11 overall and has posted 10 shutouts in 16 games this ^ - Montana Nike Cup (Missoula, Mont.) season. LTU lost a pair of road matches last weekend, 3-2 in overtime at Nevada and 3-1 at Utah State. University of Idaho Quick Facts Louisiana Tech head coach Kevin Sherry is in his fifth season at LTU. He has a 120-65-25 career record in his 11th Location Moscow, Idaho overall year as a head coach and a 47-36-11 record with the Lady Techsters. Colors Silver and Vandal Gold Conference Western Athletic (WAC) Idaho Vandals Idaho earned its first WAC win of the season last week with a 4-2 victory over Hawai`i at Guy Wicks Field. Four different President Dr. Duane Nellis Vandals scored and four different players dished out assists in the balanced effort. Junior forward Chelsea Small added the Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Spear Idaho career points record to her already-long list of accomplishments with an assist in the first half. Small is now Idaho’s Interim SWA Debbie Buchanan all-time leader in shots (292), goals (28) and points (67). Junior midfielder Jill Flockhart added a pair of assists in the match, Athletics Phone (208) 885-0200 which gives her 10 for her career (tied for third all-time) and 26 career points (seventh all-time). Adding to the difficulty level will be the fact that Idaho is the only opponent for both teams this weekend.
