SUMMARY Between October 9th and October 27`h, 2006, Aurora Platinum Corp. ("Aurora"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of FNX Mining Company Inc. and Fieldex Exploration Inc. ("Fieldex") carried out a Geological Mapping and Prospecting Program on the Aurora- Fieldex Laforce joint venture claims 1119531, 1119530, 1019423, 1019424, 5243412, 5256056, 1131342, 1131343, and 1131339 located in Brodeur and Devlin Townships (the "Laforce Property"). The Laforce Geological Mapping and Prospecting Program targeted Cu-Ni-PGE mineralization known as the Laforce prospect as well as areas outside the known mineralization. The objectives of the 2006 Geological Mapping and Prospecting Program were to: 1) Identify the extension of the gabbro intrusion; and 2) To use the knowledge acquired during the drill campaign to identify new and untested target areas east and west of the Laforce prospect. The mapping area covered an area approximately 1800m long by 350m wide. A total of 152 outcrop stations were identified and mapped, 87 rock samples were taken for hand specimens, and 16 rock samples were taken for assay analysis. The total expenditures for the summer 2006 Laforce Geological Mapping and Prospecting Program were $18,665.89. LAFt. )RCI✓ :ASSE.SSN1E. N1 RF,PO R1 No\ ernher 2006 Aurora l~ Platinum Corp. INTRODUCTION In 2004, Aurora acquired a 50% interest in certain claims located in the District of Temiscamingue, Quebec from Fieldex under a Joint Venture Agreement dated March 25, 2004. The JV Agreement includes three of the nine claims worked on during the 2006 Laforce Geological Mapping and Prospecting Program which is the subject of this report. In 2006, Aurora acquired a 50% interest in the remaining six claims described in this report from Fieldex under a second Joint Venture Agreement dated June 12, 2006. Although Aurora and Fieldex own a 50% interest in each of the nine claims, two of the claims are registered in Aurora's name as to a 100% ownership and the remaining seven claims are registered in Fieldex's name as to a 100% ownership (Table 1). PROPERTY LOCATION AND ACCESS The Laforce Property is located 50 km northeast of the town of Ville Marie, Quebec and 2.2 km southwest of Laforce, Quebec in Brodeur Township (Figure 1). The property is centered approximately at 670600mE and 5264800mN (NAD 83, Zone 17). Access to the property is by Highway 382 east from Ville Marie to the town of Fugereville and then north to the town of Moffet. Approximately 20 km east along the road Chemin de Moffet-Laforce, there is a turn off to a 3-km long, snowmobile/ATV trail heading south that leads directly to the property. ~~ O Kilometers r '0) ")).-;"-c~~ ' Figure 1: Laforce Property — Location Map LAFORCE ASSESSMENT REPORT — November 2006 F ;4 M W ail Aurora Fieldex m4 i ExploraBon i Platinum Corp. PROPERTY STATUS The Laforce Property consists of nine contiguous claims covering an area of 356.79 hectares located in Brodeur and Devlin Townships, District of Temiscamingue, P.Q. and is subject to two agreements between Aurora and Fieldex dated March 25, 2004 and June 12, 2006 respectively. Aurora and Fieldex each own a 50% interest in the Devlin Property (Figure 2) by virtue of the aforesaid two agreements. Two of the claims are registered on the Ministere des Resourcesses Naturelles et de la Faune mining titles system in the name of Aurora as to a 100% ownership and the remaining seven claims are registered in the name of Fieldex as to a 100% ownership. The current status of the Laforce Property is described in Table 1. a' a Town of Laforce 1":. Ir lc /~ = j I / m ô 10- Is 0 ~ ~' ~ 07 Y 10 CO O ~ N 0~ ~ N. f0 _ Ô O O N', n ~ , ~OV . Quebec. PHYSIOGRAPHY AND CLIMATE The property has a moderate relief that varies from 250 to 325 meters above sea level. Overburden is relatively thin, varying from zero to one metre in the reported drilling area. Most of the property is forested by spruce, birch and poplar. No major water body or rivers occur near the current drilling area however, there are a few seasonal streams and ponds in the low lying areas. The district has typical boreal climate. PREVIOUS WORK Copper-nickel mineralization was discovered in the Laforce area in 1957. The original showing was stripped, trenched and sampled revealing disseminated to semi-massive pyrrhotite, pentlandite, and chalcopyrite in amphibolite (Table 2). Kerr Addison optioned the property and in 1958 and 1959, drilled 29 holes on the property, 15 of which intersected a pod of mineralization. Further drilling included 11 holes drilled by Lynwatin Nickel Copper Ltd. in 1961, 19 holes by Texmont Mines Ltd. in 1967 and 8 holes by Vista Exploration in 1976. Alotta Resources completed a ground IP survey in 1988 and followed up with four drillholes to the east of the main showing. Between 2001 and 2004 several geophysical surveys were completed by Aurora including a Terraquest airborne magnetic survey and a Geotech VTEM survey. In 2005, Aurora and Fieldex completed a regional reconnaissance mapping and prospecting program to follow up the airborne conductors identified in the 2004 VTEM survey.
