Draft Resource Management Plan for Potrero/Mason Property San Diego County April 2018 The County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the availability of the Draft Potrero/Mason Property (Property) Resource Management Plan (RMP) for public review and comment. This RMP has been prepared as a guidance document to manage and preserve the biological and cultural resources within the Property. As part of the RMP effort, biological and cultural surveys were conducted in 2012 to characterize the baseline conditions of the Property needed to develop future management and monitoring efforts. The vegetation communities within the Property include coast live oak woodland, eucalyptus woodland, chamise chaparral, coastal sage-chaparral transition, northern mixed chaparral, southern mixed chaparral, scrub oak chaparral, Diegan coastal sage scrub, coastal scrub/chaparral, non-native grassland, and foothill/mountain perennial grassland. These vegetation communities support multiple sensitive species including: coast horned lizard, loggerhead shrike, white-tailed kite, and Dulzura pocket mouse.
