Estimate Actual 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Write the actual measurements in order from shortest to longest. 1. __________ 2. __________ 3. __________ 4. __________ 5. ___________ Writing Measurements When writing measurements of length, you can choose to write your information in fractions or decimals. If you write in fractions, you must first understand how to read a ruler. Most rulers show English and met- ric measurements. If using English measurements, the ruler is broken into 16ths. Metric units are broken down into 10s. Once you determine the correct measurement of your object, you may write your measurement in fractions or decimals. If writing in decimals, just convert your fraction to a decimal by dividing the numerator by the denominator. Examples: 2 3/4 = 2.75, 5 5/8 = 5.625, 3 1/8 = 3.125 Career Exploration Below are possible career choices in the field of Line and Design. Fill in the missing letters to unveil the hidden word. 1.
