I hope each of you have remained healthy as we continue to fight the spread of COVID-19. I am happy to report that all of OETA’s employees are healthy and have been working from their homes since March 19. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the hardworking team at OETA who continue to uphold our mission of providing essential educational content and services that inform, inspire and connect Oklahomans to ideas and information that enrich our quality of life. Since we’ve been working from home, the team has worked diligently with State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Joy Hofmeister, and the Oklahoma State Department of Education to design and implement a distance learning program for students and teachers while schools have been closed. Our journalists continue to deliver crucial information regarding COVID-19 to the whole state in The Oklahoma News Report, Fridays at 7 pm. We even had our first ever virtual screening in which we premiered our newest short documentary, Too Tough, which is available to stream at OETA.tv/TooTough. And, last but not least, our designers have been able to put together Odyssey while working from home! We may not know what the future holds, but you can always count on OETA. We’re here to deliver the information on which you depend, provide safe and educational shows for children, and bring a bit of escapism for when you need to relax. Thank you for your continued support. I sincerely hope you and your family stay well and continue to enjoy OETA!
