Period. Think about it, because it's true. There are those who spend hours extolling the virtues and vices of Sadie; they have in the past and they do now, but every single person who does misses (he point. Whether to the editor you feel Sadie is worthwhile or not begs the issue. The fact is that it exists and that its existence is a symptomatic manifestation of a more important problem that is largely ignored by Sunday afternoon or, if not forgotten, elicits reflections like "Gee, I can't wait till Sadie next year." That problem being that unless the vast majority of students on this campus have an excuse to go out and have a good time meeting new people, weekend events go largely unattended. This is unfortunate since it was quite obvious from the stage To the Editor: Saturday night that aside from a few lifeless forms prone on the floor, that a good time was had by all. The immediate retort to the above is that enthusiasm or camaraderie." Furthermore. Dr. there is no social life at Bates. This is true only in part. The other half of the story is that it seems that Turlish was credited with saying the student would Bates students feel one cannot go out (or be seen out) without a date.
