Պատարագ 10:00 - Քարոզ 11:15 Blessing of the Graves in Oakland Cemetery Saturday, June 23rd at 9 am As you are aware, many of our Men's Club members and community volunteers have been working very diligently, over the past several weeks, to "clean-up" the Oakland Cemetery [1569 Broad Street, Cranston, RI 02905]. This Saturday, the graves of past members of our RI Armenian Community will receive a blessing from our Armenian Clergy beginning at 9am as we walk through the grounds of this RI Historical Cemetery # 3. It will be the first prayer received from a priest for many of these people in a long time. A reception will follow at a home adjacent to the grounds. The facilities will be available to us. This woman is so pleased with what has been done that she is opening up her home and has designed the permanent sign which will be placed in the Armenian section. Please do your best to be there and encourage others as well. TV stations and newspapers will be there to cover this story. Please bring lawn chairs as the reception will be held outdoors. Vartanantz Church Men's Club Scenes from the Homenetmen 35th Anniversary Banquet Celebration 2016 Varchutyun Der Gomidas and MC's Dzarayutyan Shekaneshan to Founding Fathers Most years served on the Providence Executive Patriotic Songs ********************************************************* Our Men's Club and Others preparing yet another dinner at the Providence Rescue Mission Fifteen women and men took the time to help those in need tonight. Feeding people who have fallen on hard times. The dinner was hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, coleslaw and baked beans. The place got real quite once they were all served. Seemed like they were real hungry and liked what they were having. Prior to dinner, Der Gomidas prayed with them at their nightly service and both he and Der Kapriel gave them Grace before they ate and then these two men of God joined the rest in the kitchen getting the dinners out to the people. The costs were paid for by a young couple from our community, so 17 people played a role tonight that was most pleasing to God. Thanks, Steve Elmasian Men's Club of Sts. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’” (on Page 969 in your Bible) EPISTLE Romans 9:30-10:4 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but Israel , who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the “stumbling stone.” As it is written:“See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
