Through thecourtesy of Mr. YoshihideOKUDA, Mince and Mr . M as ato M oRt, Takarazuka, I was able to examine several specimens of the genus taken on Aw a Ji Isla n d o f H y ogo Prefecture. As compared with Chydae1lsshibatai HABU from the Kii Peninsula and C. shikokuensis HABU fr om Mt. Ishizuchi (including one paratype) and Omogo, Shikoku, the Awaj i specimens are more 598 Noboru ITO closely related to C. shikokuensis in expansionof themale fore andmid tarsi than to C. sh ib at a1 . Th isrela t ionsh ip agrees with that between Trechiama onocoro S. UENo from Awaji Is and T tenuis S. UENo/ T.satou1S. UENo from Shikoku. At the moment I hesitate to determine the taxonomic position of the Awaji population, sincethenumber ofavailablematerials is toosmall tomakediscussion on itsexact status in- cluding individual variation. This species was described only from Yunnan. l have now examined its specimens from Si c huan. Though the species is apterous, its distribution may be wide. Apterous trichotichine sp e c ies are usual ly restricted in distribution, whi le C. cyanescens makes a sharp contrast in this respect to other species. Distribution. Yunnan,Sichuan(newrecord). 2.
