BROUDE BROTHERS LIMITED BROUDE INTERNATIONAL EDITIONS THE BROUDE TRUST for the Publication of Musicological Editions PERFORMERS’ EDITIONS RONGWEN MUSIC TITLES IN PRINT 2015 141 White Oaks Road P.O. Box 547 Williamstown, MA 01267-0547, USA Telephone: (800) 225-3197 Fax: (413) 458-5242 E-mail: [email protected] www.broudebrothers.com This catalogue lists works published by Broude Brothers Limited, Broude International Editions, The Broude Trust for the Publication of Musicological Editions, Performers’ Editions, and Rongwen Music. Included in this catalogue are titles in print or expected to be in print as of June 30, 2015. Also included are titles not yet in print but in advanced stages of production; these are marked as “in prepa- ration.” This catalogue includes works for sale as well as works available on rental only. ENTRIES Works are listed alphabetically by composer, author, compiler, or, for anonymous works and collec- tions of works by several composers, by title. Facsimiles and editions of manuscripts are listed under the library that houses them. Collected works of a composer are listed before individual works. Titles that begin with a number are listed under the second word (e.g., “Two Last Poems” is listed under “Last”). Related titles are not listed alphabetically by title; rather, in such cases listings reflect the order of publication or the sequence of opus numbers (e.g., “Pièces de Clavecin” may be followed by “Nouvelles Suites de Pièces de Clavecin,” and “Première Livre” precedes “Deuxième Livre”). Schol- arly series prepared by a single editor are listed by editor. Volumes devoted to the works of a single composer that belong to series containing volumes devoted to the works of various composers are listed under the composer; a list of titles in each series follows the main alphabetical listing. Entries for performing editions provide the following information: title, instrumentation/voicing, approximate duration, and prices for score, set, strings, and other items, as applicable. (For informa- tion on what is included in orchestral sets, see below.) For texted works, entries specify text sources and languages. For orchestral works requiring more or less the usual complement of woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings, instrumentation is given in the following form: 4 digits for woodwinds (flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons); 4 digits for brass (horns, trumpets, trombones, tubas); percussion (where present); strings (violin I, violin II, viola, violoncello, bass). Where other instruments are present or where other combinations of instruments are employed, abbreviations are used (see p. 4). SETS OF PARTS FOR ORCHESTRAL WORKS Orchestral works are sold as sets of parts, one for each wind, brass, and percussion instrument, plus a string complement, normally of fifteen (4/4/3/2/2) for most Classical, Romantic, and Modern works, and of ten (3/3/2/1/1) for Baroque works. Distribution of string parts may be adjusted within the speci- fied total to accommodate individual needs. Orders for fewer than the minimum indicated will not be accepted, and individual string parts will not normally be sold except in connection with the purchase of a set. For concertos, solo parts are not included in sets unless otherwise noted. Concertino parts for concerti grossi are included in sets. Keyboard realizations of figured bass parts (indicated as “key- board” in entries) are included in sets, and additional copies may be purchased individually. Extra copies of woodwind, brass, and percussion parts, as well as extra solo string parts to concerti grossi, may usually be purchased at 150% of the price of an extra string part for that piece. Scores are not included in sets and must be ordered separately. SCORES Scores are large-format (10 by 13 or 9¼ by 12¼ inches) unless designated as “Study score” (approxi- mately 7¾ by 10¾ inches) or “Miniature score” (approximately 5 by 8 inches). Scores are paper- bound unless otherwise indicated. 2 .
