Kincade Fire, Sonoma County: 76,825 acres, 60% contained . Easy Fire, Los Angeles County: 1491 acres, 5% contained . Getty Fire, Los Angeles County: 745 acres, 39% contained . 46 Fire, Riverside County: 300acres, 5% contained . Hillside Fire: San Bernardino County: 200 acres, 50% contained . Approximately 53,000 homes in Southern California are affected by Pacific Gas & Electric power shut-off in effort to prevent additional wildfires Sensitive Page 2 of 16 For Official Use Only HUB Risk Services Sensitive 31 October 2019 California Wildfires For Official Use Only 12:00 PT Summary As of 12:00 PT (20:00 UTC), thirteen fires are active across the state of California. Several significant fires are burning in Sonoma, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. Getty Fire The Getty Fire is located at 1800 North Sepulveda Blvd, Brentwood, Los Angeles. The fire has burned 745 acres and is 39% contained. Adverse weather conditions continue to challenge firefighters. An Extreme Flag Warning remains in effect through 6:00pm today. Strong Santa Ana winds with peak wind gusts of 30- 50mph are forecast. Relative humidity is forecast to drop to single digits with no recoveries expected overnight. Combined weather factors continue to create extreme fire weather conditions which may increase the danger of fire growth and behavior. As of 10:00am PT, Mandatory Evacuation Orders and Warnings have been lifted with some exceptions as described following. Tigertail Rd at Deerbrook Ln to Chickory Ln . Stonehill Ln . Lindenwood Ln . Sky Ln . Canna Rd . Chickory Ln . Bluestone Tr to Bluegrass Wy . Bluestone Tr . Bluegrass Ln . Bluegrass Wy The Fire Incident Command continues to monitor the affected fire areas, as well as those areas remaining closed due to critical infrastructure or safety hazards. The Los Angeles Police Department has a strong presence in the repopulated and evacuated areas for the next several days to ensure the protection of residents and property. Sensitive Page 4 of 16 For Official Use Only HUB Risk Services Sensitive 31 October 2019 California Wildfires For Official Use Only 12:00 PT Easy Fire Fire crews continue to make good progress on increasing containment on the brush fire near Simi Valley, Moorpark and Thousand Oaks. The Easy fire is currently at 1,723 acres with 10 percent containment. Fire crews are working throughout the day to put out hot spots and secure lines around the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Gusty Santa Ana winds continue to affect Ventura County today in the usual wind prone areas. Strongest winds are prominent in the areas of Wiley Ridge, Happy Camp Canyon, and Boney Mountain with sustained winds 10 to 25 mph and gusts 25 to 40 mph. Winds will start to subside this morning and most locations should see wind gusts below 25 mph by mid-afternoon. Offshore winds are expected to continue through Friday but remain below Red Flag criteria for most locations. The National Weather Service may extend the Red Flag Warning for Ventura County Mountains and some Valley locations into Friday. Currently, there are no Santa Ana events forecasted for the following week. All Evacuation orders have been lifted. Sensitive Page 5 of 16 For Official Use Only HUB Risk Services Sensitive 31 October 2019 California Wildfires For Official Use Only 12:00 PT Kincade Fire The Kincade fire has been active for eight days and is burning northeast of Geyserville in Sonoma County. The fire has burned 76,825acres and is 60% contained. Up to 90,015 structures are threatened and at least 282 residential and commercial structures have been destroyed and 50 damaged. Currently 5,245 personnel are assigned to the fire and continue to mitigate structure threats and look for opportunities to construct control lines. Numerous firefighting air tankers are flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow. Fire personnel made good progress in their firefighting efforts overnight due to favorable weather conditions. Access to the northern part of the fire remains challenging because of steep terrain and narrow roads, but firefighters will continue to build on the progress they made today with even more control lines being established Red Flag Warnings in the area have been lifted.
